Banish your rack space problems with the VERSITRON HF2SS chassis. This chassis offers a horizontal side-by-side installation of either 1 or 2 FOM II series modems. The height of this chassis is only 1.75”. In those applications where 1 or 2 fiber optic links must be installed in a standard 19” communications rack, the HF2SS will fill the bill.For added flexibility, the model HF2SS can be used with any VERSITRON FOM II style data, voice, or video product. FOM II modems installed in the H2FSS are easily monitored and readily accessible. For ease of installation, all connections are made from the rear of the chassis.

How Far Can Your T1 Travel? VERSITRON’S single mode optics option allows more distance flexibility to our F2400 T1 interface extender. 30 kilometer distances are made possible with the use of single mode optics. Customers with existing VERSITRON T1 multimode modems can have these products upgraded to single mode optics for a nominal fee. Contact us for details. All of our standard features remain in tact including synchronous, or simplex data transmission at 1.544 Mbps. This product supports ANSI T1.403, AT&T TR54016 and AT&T TR62411 T1 standards. Both AMI & B8ZS data format conversion are available. A typical application for these modems is extending a T1 link between data/voice multiplexers. These single mode products continue to be fully compatible with VERSITRON’S 4 styles of enclosures. Communications Go The Distance with Single Mode Optics Single mode optics are now available for all VERSITRON products. A signal that has a maximum operating distance of 50 feet on copper cable may now be transmitted 15 km over single mode fiber optic cable. This applies to VERSITRON MicroModem style and FOM II style products.
