| The new VERSITRON "Double-Duty" Media Converter will do 10Base ethernet OR 100Base fast ethernet protocols. If you are a current "10Base user" this converter will work for now and for a later upgrade to 100Base. Also, if you are in need of spares, there is no worry as to whether to purchase 10Base or 100Base. You are covered either way. The M727X complies with 802.3 10BaseT, 802.3u 100BaseTX/100BaseFX, 802.3x flow control, and can extend your network span to 40 km over singlemode fiber. Another big plus is the flexibility of power |
options that the "double-duty" provides. Choose from: regular AC power, regular AC power with management, redundant AC power with management, regular DC power, regular DC power with management, redundant DC power with management. Other features include 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation on the TP port, auto MAC address learning and 4.096 MAC address table entries, and store and forward technology. This product carries a lifetime warranty. |

VERSITRON'S longevity in the fiber optics business (45 years!) ensures that its products are known and trusted for critical applications all over the world. In fact, we have been asked to "fill the bill" for a number of unusual applications. Here are a few places where VERSITRON products can be found.
The RS-232 M8000 Series singlemode MicroModems are currently being used in a university research project for underwater data communications links between submerged equipment. The purpose: counting sea plankton. These modems are also being used at surface level in order to monitor the count.
VERSITRON RS-530 F2245 FOM II Series single mode fiber modems are being used in the Arctic Circle. The multimode analog F2700 and F2710 FOM II series fiber modems are being used to help reduce energy costs by monitoring power usage in a manufacturing plant on the East Coast. These fiber optic devices provide reliable data links that would otherwise be impossible in this EMI intense environment.
Our fiber optic 5-port switches (Model S7055X) can be found aboard naval submarines providing fiber optic isolation for data communications.
Serial data FOM II Series Modems are being used to transmit data for municipal water flow monitoring equipment that determines operation of water pump controls to ensure a constant flow from the water source to the treatment plant.
The F270X and F271X telephone modems are currently in use as communication devices to control a boring machine whose purpose is to tunnel through a mountain.

Products currently in our store include a variety of networking as well as datacom products. Several media converters are available (10base, 100base, singlemode, and multimode with several connector options) as well as our fiber optic 5 port switch. On the datacom side, choose from our telephone or teledata modems, T1, and DS3 products.
